Our Community Meetings are open to everyone: people living with brain injury, families, friends, professionals and anyone who is interested in brain injury.

About The Speaker:

As a dedicated Behavior Change Facilitator, my mission is to empower individuals to produce meaningful change in their lives, there by cultivating a sense of independence and confidence. My journey began with a literal and figurative fall—a severe Traumatic Brain Injury that became the catalyst for my dedication to assisting others in building resilience, and better mental health. Navigating my recovery, I immersed myself in Behavior Design, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology, adopting scientifically-backed techniques that transformed my own life. This journey led me to work with industry giants like Publicis Groupe, Paramount Studios, and Walmart, all under the Thrive Global banner.

Today, I leverage my expertise to facilitate improved mental health outcomes through evidence-based practices. Invisible Illness & Mental Health Advocate Lifelong Student Brain Science Nerd Recovering Perfectionist & “go big or go home” Enthusiast. I hope you can join me for a fun, interactive workshop where you will learn behaviour change myths that are keeping you stuck andstrategies to to get unstuck, for real!

Community Meetings – NEW Agenda

Our Community Meetings run from 6 – 8 PM and take place in the Programs Room at the Deer Park Library (RM 204), next to the BIST Office (RM 205).

Due to the Library’s Programs Room Rental Policy, our speaker will end their talk at 7:30 PM at which point participants will vacate RM 204.

Participants can head into the BIST Office in RM 205 to continue a Q and A with our speaker until 8 PM in BIST’s Program Space.

Alternatively, folks can also quietly socialize in the front lobby area of our office until 8 PM as BIST Staff clean up RM 204.
