Brainwaves Movement + Mindfulness classes are inspired by various types of yoga, surfing, the movement of the ocean, mindfulness, and experience with the effects of brain injury on the mind and body. Each class starts with gentle movement and stretching, followed by mindfulness and is intended to appreciate everything our bodies and brains can do.
In 2024, BIST will run this series in February, May, July and November on Saturdays, 1:30 – 2:15 PM.

Natasha began taking yoga classes after a brain injury and loved it so much she eventually got certified in teaching Yoga, Love Your Brain Yoga and Surfset. Along the way, she also discovered BIST, which was a huge help in her recovery. You might recognize her from the warmup at the BIST 5K.
