Neurographic Art combines art, art therapy, neuroscience, and psychology.

Session #1 – May 9th – Intro to Neurographic Art & Mindfulness
Neurographic art is a way of drawing that recreates the outer from the inner. The world is a reflection of the beliefs we hold. Neurographic Art promotes mindfulness and concentration, which can enhance cognitive functions over time. The process of creating this kind of art is far more important than how the final piece looks.
- Promote mindfulness and intentionality at a slower pace.
- Learn three main types of neurographic art, specific, popular and combination.
- Learn to draw neurographic lines or neuro lines
- Learn to understand yourself and your thought patterns
- Explore your inner boundaries to begin to think outside of the box
- Increase your self-knowledge
- Develop and enrich your creativity
- No art experience required
What You Will Need:
- A heavy piece of paper (at least 8”x10”)
- A circular object or objects to trace
- Permanent marker (1 thick and 1 fine-line) like a black Sharpie
- Other drawing/painting materials for adding colour: crayons or colour pencils or watercolour pencils or palette or pastels.

About the Presenter:
Salima Andany is a Trauma Therapist and Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Therapist. Her struggles with speech, communication & emotional regulation after a TBI led her to expressive arts to manage anxiety, chronic pain, build resilience & cope with life’s challenges. She has come to understand that comparison is the thief of Joy. Her passion for creativity and psychology motivates her to support others in a learning these skills on their transformative journey.
