About Saba Rizvi:
Saba is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Art Therapist (DTATI Pending). She studied at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute after she used art as therapy to help facilitate her own healing and growth.
Saba has worked with clients aged 3 to 102 years old during her time as an Art Therapist (DTATI Pending). She has successfully introduced art therapy in the Long Term Care Units at Milton District Hospital and Trafalgar Oakville Memorial; at Nisa Homes – Shelter for Women and Children; and at Bayshore Healthcare.
Saba is currently working with Bayshore Healthcare to provide art therapy services to their clients across Canada. Bayshore Healthcare provides services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and individuals in long-term ro palliative care.
Saba is also working at Anderson Therapy Services with Indigenous youth.
Saba believes the client is the expert in their life and that a safe space can help facilitate growth in so many aspects of one’s life. She has helped individuals manage and improve their lives when it comes to: anxiety, stress, depression, comorbid illnesses, abuse (substance, sexual, physical, and emotional), familial and relational issues, chronic illness and suicide.
