Community Meetings are open to people living with Acquired Brain Injury, families, friends, professionals and anyone who wants to learn about ABI.
Tonight’s Topic: Visual Perceptual Deficits Assessment & Treatment
Visual perceptual deficits are difficulties in interpreting and processing visual information. These deficits can affect how a person understands and interacts with their environment, leading to challenges in recognizing objects, judging distances, and coordinating movements based on visual input.
This talk will focus on understanding visual perceptual deficits, which can significantly impact daily life after Brain Injury.
Participants will learn about the assessment process, including how professionals identify specific visual perceptual issues. We’ll explore practical treatment strategies tailored to enhance visual skills and improve overall functioning.
