In this discussion, Rachel Greenwood will discuss how to prepare for doctors’ appointments so you can get the best information and treatment options available to you.
She will also briefly discuss OHIP funded Concussion Services you may be able to access.
Session #3: How Gentle Exercise Can Help with Persistent Concussion Symptoms

Exercise can help with Persistent Concussion Symptoms, but determining the right amount of activity and not over-doing it can be difficult. In this talk, Sonia Vovan will discuss how to find the right amount of acvitity to help with your symptoms.

Part One: Concussion Navigator Tool – Evan Foster
The Toronto Concussion Navigator was developed to help individuals 18 years of age or older find a clinic in Toronto that provides specialized concussion care. It is meant to be used by individuals with concussion, their caregivers, and health practitioners. In this interactive session, one of the creators of the Navigator, Evan Foster, will discuss how the tool was developed and how to use the tool. This interactive session will also highlight the challenges associated with expanding the tool and engage participants in a collaborative discussion to devise innovative solutions and actionable strategies for making this expansion feasible and successful.
Part Two: Pacing and Fatigue Management – Ayushi Dhingra
Fatigue is a common, and delibating, symptom when dealing with Persistent Concussion Symptoms. Learn how techniques such as pacing can help manage your fatigue and energy levels while dealing with concussion.
