BIST Stands in Solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter

The systemic racism and anti-Black violence BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) communities continue to experience on a daily basis must stop. BIST recognizes our own need to further diversify our staff and services to make changes in order to properly reflect the make up of the City of Toronto and provide increased services to BIPOC communities.

We also want to make sure we are giving voice to those who want to utilize our platform to spread their story and message. Please send us your stories, experiences on what it’s like to be a person of colour with a disability during this pandemic or otherwise. Email these to info@bist.ca. We also want to hear your thoughts on how BIST can better meet the needs of all our members. Please contact BIST Chief Executive Officer with your ideas for change – Laura Bellon: lbellon@bist.ca.
