BIST’s Brain Injury Awareness Month Committee, in 2018.
Advocacy Committee
Mandate: to work collaboratively to reduce vulnerability in the Brain Injury (BI) community by disseminating self-advocacy knowledge and skills.
Awareness Committee
Mandate: To facilitate the coordinated efforts of the Brain Injury Society of Toronto in promoting brain injury awareness to the general public, as well as plan and implement ABI awareness event(s) for Toronto.
Birdies for Brain Injury Golf Tournament Committee
Mandate: Plan, coordinate and implement this annual fundraising event that takes place every June.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee
Mandate: To provide education and increased access to BIST services by reviewing outreach and advocacy streams, connecting with diverse community partners and providing guidance on programs and supports that promote cultural competence, cultural humility and cultural responsiveness.
Heroes Run, Walk & Roll Committee
Mandate: Plan, coordinate and implement the annual 5k Run, Walk & Roll fundraising run that takes place every Fall.
Mix & Mingle Committee
Mandate: To develop a sustainable base of funds to carry out the mission of the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST) through the identification, development, implementation and management of profitable fundraising programs.
