June’s TOPIC – Brain Injury and Communication

Speech-language pathology students will present some of the communication changes that may occur following a brain injury and various strategies that can be used to support effective communication.

Speakers:
Maham Qasim and Eva Chen are MSc speech-language pathology students at McMaster University. Working with their supervisor Dr. Catherine Wiseman-Hakes PhD Reg. CASLPO, they are working with WomenatthecentrE to develop and implement a pilot communication program for survivors of gender-based violence with resultant brain injuries.
