Community Meeting: Advocacy (ONLINE)
  • This event has passed.

Our Community Meetings are open to everyone: people living with brain injury, families, friends, professionals and anyone who is interested in brain injury.

January’s Topic: Advocacy

Speaker: Stacey Levine, Behaviour Therapist, Journey Rehabilitation Therapy

Register, HERE

Practical communication strategies, tips and tools will be presented with a focus on how to self-advocate in common scenarios. The goal is for attendees to feel more empowered and capable of communicating their needs effectively. The intention is that everyone will feel good about how they communicate their needs, wants and feelings, regardless of whether or not they’re able to get what they want from others. This presentation is brought to you by a collaboration between Stacey Levine, a Behaviour Therapist, and the BIST Advocacy Committee.
